Love them!!! Review by one of the dik-dik chicks

I just returned from safari in Tanzania and I am so happy that I had these binoculars with me...I was amazed at the wildlife that I could see in amazing detail so far away! I ended up removing the front lens covers as they came off on their own too easily. The only problem I have had is that one of the eyepiece adjusters is jammed...probably my accidental undoing. I will definitely refer friends to this product. (Posted on 9/23/11)
Just what I needed Review by Elkhunter

I have been looking around for a new pair of ten power binoculars for guiding and hunting. I found some people that really liked Zen Ray on different forums and wanted to try some. I usually have to try a product before I will buy it, but I decided to take a chance on them. I'm glad I did. They are some of the best glass that I have looked through. The price is what really caught my attention. My wife and I are expecting our first kid at the end of December, so I didn't have as much money to spend as I originally planned. If you need a new pair of binos and don't have a lot of money (or even if you do) give Zen Ray a chance, they are worth it. (Posted on 7/1/11)
The Zen-Ray Ed2 43X 10 are worth every penny Review by roostmanaaron

I bought the Zen-ED2 10X43 and these are the best binoculars that I have ever used. I found out about them on archerytalk.com and the reviews were right they are worth every penny. I use them for hunting and 3d archery and they work great, they really let you see the 10 ring at long distances under low light conditions. Several of my buddies I shoot league with have Swarovski binoculars and even they were amazed by how well they worked. In fact one of guys said that he actually thought that the Zen-Rays worked better than his Swarovski when we traded for a couple of targets. I myself like them so much that I will be buying another pair for my dad who likes to bird watch.
Thanks
Aaron

Took these bino's on a Sambar hunt over the weekend, very impressed with the low light performance. The main positives I have found with these binoculars are:
- Very light, perfect for backpack hunting
- value for money, extremely impressed when placed alongside my Swarovski 15x56's which cost me alot more
- pleasant on the eye.
Extremely happy and have recommended these to others here in Australia who hunt Sambar Deer.
Thanks, Mladen. (Posted on 6/15/11)
INGENIOUS use of glass. Best binocular Review by tl_covert

I tried a buddy’s Zen Ray binoculars and was all the sudden very disappointed with my current pair of binoculars. So I went home and sold my binoculars and ordered me a pair of Zen ED2 10X43 I was amazed I ordered them late on a Friday and they were at my door on Monday. I couldn’t believe how fast they came. I talked with the people at Zen Ray a time or two and Emailed a couple questions to them, they were amazingly helpful answered all my questions and even helped straighten out a mistake I had made when ordering. I tried the binoculars in low light and was amazed again at how bright and clear they are I know that’s what most the review have said but its TRUE you need to see them to believe them. These binoculars would sell themselves. All you would have to do is show these side by side with any binoculars that retail for $800 or more they would see that the quality of the Zen Ray’s are great glass and would hold their own against any binocular out there. Then you state the price of the binoculars and anyone would pick the Zen Ray’s for the Quality and the PRICE. You won’t find a better set of binoculars out there. I will gladly show these to everyone I know. Everyone who has seen them says WOW these are the best I have laid hands on. Many of my friends want to get some for themselves, I can’t blame them for wanting a pair of Zen Ray’s I wanted them too!! Now I just want to try to get a spotting scope from Zen Ray.
P.S the case these binoculars come with is an ingenious case. These are the best case I have ever seen any binocular come with. I have never wanted to use the case the other binoculars come with as I have thought them to be useless and more of a hindrance then they did good. Also the lens covers actually stay on which is a huge accomplishment in my opinion as all the other binoculars have struggled in this department.

I saw this from a buddy and ordered me a pair I have loved them from the time a saw them now I have a pair and love them even more. The case they come in is ingenious and by far the best case I have seen any binocular come with. I would put these binoculars in the class of $1000+ but not paying that for them. Everyone who as seen them says they can’t believe the detail and light they have. Everyone says they would like to by a pair. These binoculars sell themselves. I think selling these would be easy as saying take a look through these, then have them look through a pair that retails for $800+, tell then the price or the Zen ray and everyone would pick the Zen rays. I have also look at the spotting scope and think I will be getting one soon. (Posted on 6/7/11)

After my family and I came back from Yellowstone National Park, we decided to buy a good binoculars to be able to see wild animals in low light environments, such as dusk. I searched some binocular forum online and found good reviews of optics quality of Zen ED2 at the affordable range. I ordered the binoculars on Zen Ray website and got it soon. I also compared the pair of binoculars with other brands and it showed more vivid color and higher contrast than others about similar price range. I can't wait to use it when we go back to Yellowstone again.

Got a pair of 10x43 ed 2's, really happy with them so far. Appreciated the reviews that you guys have given on bino's here, and I pretty much agree with most I've read about them. Compared them to vortex's, nikons, etc and I think they are the best glass I looked through for under 1k. Honestly, I really couldn't see the difference from the 2k+ glasses until you looked 1/2 mile out. These seemed to be as good for low light stuff as the high end stuff as far as I could tell. Great light gathering for 10x43 (smaller exit pupil than I'm used to.)

The lens cap rings do seem like they could slip off easily so I'll add a dab of glue to keep them from falling off. The case is a little snug with the straps attached but seems pretty sturdy, time will tell how the zipper holds up with bunching it in there.

I decided on the 10x's over the 8's because I couldn't see any difference in low light between them, unlike some other brands and I mostly hunt open area. If you're looking in this price range I'd recommend these as I'm pretty happy with them so far.

Writting from Spain, so excuse for my poor English.
As you know in Europe we have excelent optics (Zeiss, Swarovski, Leica, Minox, Docter, Steiner...). The problem: the price. I have scopes and binos from some of these brands, bur recently I ordered a pair of ZR-ED2 binoculars to leave them in my car, as a spare pair of binoculars, because I read excellent reviews and the price was amazing.
When I received them I was absolutly surprised. Excelllent quality (mechanic), excelllent lenses (no chromatic aberration, no peripherical distorsion, very very bright and sharp image) and amazing field of view. I can say in most situations I cannot apreciate difference with first germany brands, just in case of almost not light (hunting in moonlight) I can see just a little bit better witn my Swarovsky and Leicabinos (same power and frontal lens, more or less).
I dont like the green color (abolutly personal, of course), and I dont like the neck strap (dont know the name), with big and bright ZEN RAY letters written in the neoprene). The ocular cover is perfet, the frontal covers not good (you will loose themin a few days) and the cover box perfect.
I have too Minox HG 10x52 (around 1100 euro in Spain) and image if absolutly the same in daytaime and in night conditions, but ZR ED2 has much more field of view.

Thats all, sorry again for my English...

Bought a pair of the 10x43 ED2 binos and could not be happier with them. As others have said, the lens caps are the only thing that leaves anything to be desired (although I dont know of ANY binos that come with good lens caps). Very clear, bright, and the colors are great through them. Never thought I would find myself watching the birds in my back yard but the detail and color is impressive. The coating on the lenses is awesome as well. Water just sheets off..... I had a buddy's dad that has Swaro EL's look through them the other night when it was cloudy and starting to get dark and he was amazed at what he saw, and what I paid for them....
