A Little Secret with Argon : As a noble gas, Argon gas is not known to form true chemical compounds. It serves as an excellent atmosphere for protecting air-sensitive materials, such as internal lenses of binoculars. It is heavier than air and less reactive than nitrogen, which makes it a perfect choice to protect the precision optics inside ZEN binoculars from moisture and internal fogging.

Argon has lower thermal conductivity that makes it ideal for outdoor use that is subject to rapid temperature change
